Each wall is planned on its own — girts don't run through the corners, so boards restart at every corner post. Seams within a wall are staggered between courses so no two courses splice at the same post, snapped to the nearest real post so no board exceeds 16'.

Concrete prep before cutting

Pier 16 (NE corner) reads 2-5/8" — 1/8" high of the 2-3/4" master baseline. Grind the concrete top with a diamond cup wheel until the rod reads exactly 2-3/4", matching Pier 5. All other piers are used as-is.

How to measure every pier

Hook the tape to the absolute bottom edge of the raw post wood sitting inside the Sturdi-Wall bracket. For any pier reading below the 2-3/4" master baseline, that pier's drop is added to every mark below — already built into the numbers on the Pier tab.

Header notch, 3-ply profile

Outside and inside plies are notched down to the header seat; the center ply runs full height to 11-1/4" to locate the truss seat. Cut both outer plies to the Header Notch Shoulder mark, and leave the center ply long to the Overall Post Cut mark.

Reading the marks

Every measurement is taken from the bottom of the post upward. Notch and cut marks give the post's fixed points; splash board and girt marks give the bottom edge of each horizontal board on the storypole.
